Surrogacy Center AgreementsThe journey through surrogacy can at times be long, costly, and complicated. Embryo DonationBay Area Family Law Center drafts and reviews Embryo Donation Agreements for those seeking to receive embryos as part of their family planning as well as for those seeking to donate embryos. Our attorneys ensure that your embryo donation contract ensures that parentage rights are clearly defined. We ensure that only the intended parents shall have rights to the newborn, while ensuring that the embryo donor(s) do not become parents unintentionally. At the end of surrogacy, Intended Parents often have remaining embryos which can be donated to other families, to scientific research, or discarded. Parentage Actions and Prebirth OrdersAs you prepare to welcome your newborn into your life, most families desire to ensure that the Intended Parents are listed on the birth certificate from the outset of life. In California, Prebirth Orders are permitted as a part of a Parentage Action, allowing you to ensure that your child’s birth certificate certifies you (including your spouse) as the parent(s) of your newborn. In all California cases, we are happy to help you with your Parentage Action to ensure that you are the legal guardian of your child.
